Margaret Crotty
Chair of the Board of Trustees, Northwell Health
Margaret Crotty is a seasoned leader of public health and education organizations, and currently the Chair of Northwell Health, New York’s largest health system. Most recently she served as president and CEO of JSI, a global non-governmental organization that works to improve quality, access, and equity within health systems in over 40 countries. In partnership with government, civil society, and the private sector—and in collaboration with communities—JSI manages large-scale public health, supply chain, and health information system projects.
In the United States, JSI consults on pressing health system and public health issues. Margaret also chaired the Board of JSI’s Partnership for Supply Chain Management, which manages global procurement and logistics for health commodities, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment. Previously, she served as the CEO of Partnership with Children, a major provider of community health services and school-based mental health programs in New York; launched and led Save the Children’s flagship $2 billion child survival initiative; served as CEO of AFS-USA Intercultural Programs; and held roles at EF Education and McKinsey & Company in Jakarta, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Paris. She serves as a trustee of several health and education organizations, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and has served on several government task forces and higher education advisory boards. Margaret holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPH from Columbia University, and a BA from Princeton University.
