Dr. Irene Dankwa-Mullan is a physician executive, scientist and global health thought leader with expertise in AI and digital health technologies, ethical AI and precision medicine.  She currently maintains a board advisory portfolio career with early-stage startup companies, including Marti Health, a digital health equity startup for patients with sickle cell disease, and HuroneAI , empowering clinicians and patients with co-pilots for cancer care.  She is Co-Founder and Chief Health Officer of Protea Global Solutions, advancing ethical AI and health access globally.

With a distinguished career spanning roles at the National Institutes of Health and IBM, where she served as Chief Health Equity Officer, and Deputy Chief Health Officer, Dr. Dankwa-Mullan has led initiatives at the intersection of science, health equity, and technology innovation. She advises global health tech startups, serves on healthcare technology advisory boards and guest lectures at the George Washington University, Washington D.C.

An author of over 90 publications and lead editor, author of authoritative scientific textbook: The Science of Health Disparities Research, she is committed to building equitable, community-centered health systems rooted in technology innovation and compassion.
